So just about an hour poking around in the blog's template. I managed to shrink the blank edges, delete the lines around the title and around pictures in the posts. All very obvious once I figured out where to look.
I also created a graphic for the left edge. Actually I created two. I'm not going to use either. I am going to go back to my original idea but all the pieces of that are saved on my hard drive at work.

Well since no readership it means I am talking to myself. I don't really mind that, its more the fact that a month or so ago a few people wrote me email saying my blog was pretty stale. I started updateing again and not a peep out of any of those people.
So as long as I'm just talking to myself here I might as start commenting on my own posts. The left border I have in now is actually a both the ones I was talking about in the post combined. It is only temporary, I just wanted to see if I could get it to work. I was annoyed that I couldn't just get use a 200x800 image that only repeated down the left edge. I finally had to make the image 1600x800 and filled it in with white. Luckly that didn't increase the file size much. I did have more problems with Net Identity, where I host the pictures, tonight and with all the pictures missing the blog just goes to hell. I wish they would get their act together.
