I'm never gonna do it without the Fez on

To quote Brad, my new desk neighbour at work, "This is hot!"

In case you were wondering WTF while waiting for it to load, its a trailer for the upcoming independent PC Game Fez by Kokoromi that was shown at the 2008 Game Developer's Conference.

Its the long version which builds up to why this is a cool. You're thinking, another silly 2D platform game but its not. Stop reading this and watch the damn video!

It was also just announced that it is the winner of the Excellence in Visual Art award at the 2008 Independent Games Festival.

That is the most intriguing thing I've seen released in ages. I want to know who is responsible for the concept now!

The Kokoromi Collective is responsible and I linked to their blog in the post. The problem is that there is no more information on their blog that tells us anything else about the game. Seriously, when and where can I get my grubby little hands on the game?!

Here is a Gamasutra interview with two of the guys, Phil Fish and Renaud Bedard, about making the game. Still no actual information on when we will be able to play the game.

This looks cool - kind of hurts my head in the same way "Portal" did. The music sounds really nice. Like a cross between 8-bit chipsongs and Slowdive or Mogwai.
